    Martha Chen (née Alter; born February 9, ) is an American academic, scholar and social worker, who is presently a Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and Senior Advisor of the global research-policy-action network WIEGO (Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing) and a member of the Advisory Board of the United Nations University World Institute for. Women in the Arts & Media Coalition-sponsored events, presentations, and networking provide unique forums for the presentation of issues and ideas relating to women's voices and visions in the performing arts and media, including our two Signature Events, the Collaboration Award and VintAge.

    Women In Theatre is the first magazine of its kind to celebrate and connect theatre women across the world, and to offer an unparalleled opportunity for collaboration, recognition, and growth. This special international edition coincided with the League’s second International Award given in the fall of to an exceptional woman theatre.
